The boys and girls really enjoyed their visit to the Stromness Library.  The library was lovely and had lots and lots of great books to read.

The boys and girls all had a great afternoon at the beach.  They worked together to make a sandcastle, collected shells, played ball games and had a tasty picnic.

As part of our recycling, re-using and reducing work, the boys and girls made bird feeders from old juice cartons and twigs.  We have had lots of little sparrows visiting the feeders already.

The boys and girls made bags from old t-shirts as part of their work on recycling, reducing and re-using.

The boys and girls in Class 3/4H did a fantastic job of picking up rubbish from the beach for 'Bag the Bruck'.  They found lots of plastic and old rope.

The boys and girls visited the local recycling centre and found out that there are many things that can be recycled instead of thrown away as rubbish.  We put some of our plastic and cardboard in to be recycled.
